Candles Cartel ( formally Calèvre) was created in memory of our cousin Caleb Tubila Njoko.
My mother took Caleb in from the time he was 3 months up until his late teens. We grew up together as siblings spending every Christmas, Easter, March break and summer holidays together until our teen years. Caleb was truly a ray of light and an amazing soul and that's how we plan to keep his memory alive.
Caleb unfortunately lost his battle with mental health during an interaction with the police in May of 2020. After his passing, we discovered that aromatherapy can be used not only to aid in the grieving process but aromatic essential oils can actually be used to improve mental health. Our mission is to help promote relaxation and relieve anxiety & stress for young adults through our scented candles.
When you inhale our candles, it stimulates the part of your brain that is connected to your memory and mood. Meaning scents can trigger positive emotions and memories better than visuals such as pictures. Positive memories put us in good moods, and being in a good mood helps to reduce stress, anxiety and even symptoms of depression.
