For the past few years I have been championing a message regarding sustainable candles and that is simply; "its great for you in multple ways".  Candles themselves right now are on the the same "vibe" a lot of products are on in 2024.  It's all about the environment as we push closer to the future.  That being said what is in it for you?  Why use any sort of of "eco-friendly candle?" 

Todays Candle Trends

Right now the word "toxin" is being thrown around a lot for commercial candle producers that use a lot of paraffin wax oppose to other alternatives.  As you may have noticed plenty of smaller candle shops are switching to Organic Coconut-Soy Wax or similar choices to that, such as beeswax.    The consideration towards your health and well being has never been more center point for those who love to make candles.  Sustainable candles outside of being easier on our internal systems are also cost effective for you. 

The ugly truth about alternative wax is that it still contains paraffin wax and that's for the sake of structure.  That being said there are more and more wax producers that are slowly moving away from parrafin all together as the candle industry explores more solutions.  

Sustainable Candles in 2024

Right now getting a single candle can be tricky especially if your looking for a bundle of candles.    With sustainable candles you get a chance to receive that bundle of your favorite scents to either gift or use for yourself a lot easier.  That's because the materials, labor and cost melt together smoothly for smaller shops that understand markets trends and can adjust quicker because of their size oppose to larger corporations.  So getting a few pounds of Apricot Coconut Wax for instance and switching from Paraffin Wax would be easier for your local candle shop in comparison. 

The cost effectiveness shows up again when we start to discuss one of the biggest trends happening right now in the Luxury Candle Industry.  And that is refillable candles.  Now those same larger brands selling higher priced candles want their clients to refill those same vessels to create sustainable candles.  There is a large audience looking for that right now because of the Net-Zero goals plenty of countries, corporations and citizens are pushing for right now.
